I have an off brand JavaPresse manual grinder and it's insanely quality despite even being off brand. It's also a well documented product by the company so I can definitely recommend.
Don't think it has a sifter but it shouldn't be necessary as there are basically no fines. It is highly adjustable and might even be able to do espresso (haven't tried it, finest I went was moka pot)

No idea about the Robot, just gotta make sure you can preheat it fully. Preheating is seriously important. With the pro there's just the problem of transferring the very hot metalic body to the lever device.
The 9barista is totally different, but it seems cool.
if counterspace isn't a problem I think the Flair58 is the best one you could get. It solves almost everything.

Supposedly the 1zpresso burr set is a copy of the comandante c40 burr set, but that's all it copies. The barrel, hopper, crank, and dial mechanisms on the 1zpresso grinders are superior to the comandante. But comandante can't give up their dated plastic frame interior and awkward dial mechanism because they've built the brand up around the luxurious wood veneer and clix system. They've attempted to modernize the design by adding more plastic. I think this is a hilariously bad mistake.

then pour the rest into my regular cup and drink it as usual

the next day i will prepare my usual drink and decide if i prefer it black or mixed with other stuff like milk and/or sugar.

I don't drink blends, but when I get a new coffee I usually start with a city roast. I smell the grounds, then I get my face all up in the smell of the wet grounds when I'm brewing. I divide the first cup in half. One cup is black, the other cup has cream. I taste it hot, warm, and room temp. Flavors usually change. I note whether it tastes too loight and underdeveloped in sweetness, or if it tastes too dark and overroasted. I roast the next batch according to that intuition, then taste all over again. Eventually I find what I think is the best tasting roast level. I pretty much never adjust my pourover grind size, water temps, or brew times. Those are secondary to nailing the roast. Some coffees taste good, but different at different roast levels. Some only taste good at a very specific roast. I have learned over time that it's not about you, it's about the coffee. You must let go of your preconceived notions of how coffee is supposed to taste and find what the coffee want to taste like.

Separate grinder is better. These things break, they need to be maintained and taken apart, the less they're encastrated inside other things the better.
The benefit of that machine is that Breville is giving them to you at a great price. $750 is really good.

The best starter is probably the Oracle if you have $3000 to burn, because it's mostly automated and you can then go into doing things manually with each piece/step if/when you prefer at your choice and your skill level. But again, cost.

These things are expensive toys so as with all expensive toys, the best place to find one is on craigslist/etc.

I'm having a lot of luck with my Flair recently. Dunno how many clicks my grinder is on and if I WDT properly, but it's very easy to get enough resistance with it. Maybe I could go more coarse so I can taste the fruity notes better, but I like hitting the espresso zone and staying on it for a while.
The Flair is definitely fun.
It's actually so fun I think I'll have another cup

Anyone got espresso recommendations or recent things you've tried? My contribution:

Irving Farms Gotham (NYC, medium-ish): good, sweet, caramelly. Good for americanos and a little bit of milk, but too delicate for a latte, it gets buried.

Volcanica Dark Roast Espresso (and decaf version): brutally dark and oily, ashy, strongly bitter. Ok taste but not worth buying twice.

Ordered both of Onyx's espressos (Monarch, Eclipse) to try. I also need to try Lavazza with its 40% robusta but i need extra caffeine like i need a hole in the head.
