Kek. Like a hog before the slaughter.
Bean and bacon soup is also cheap. Especially if you buy those packs of "end pieces" that are typically half the price of strip bacon.

Chicken thighs are about $2/lb and legs are as cheap as $1/lb. Rice is about the cheapest calorie in the world. $9 for 20lbs at Walmart. Substantially cheaper if bought in 50lb sacks.

Okay faggot, we have these threads on the reg. Here's some TRUTH fo you to accepts.

You need animal protein, good fatty acids, complex carbs, vitamins/minerals, and fibre.

Breakfast: rolled oats simmered in milk, add salt and butter to taste. You can add cinnamon and sugar if you're a pussy. Mix in an egg if you want to boost protein.
Lunch: canned herring or sardines on toast and an apple or orange.
Dinner: roast turkey leg with roast broccoli or cauliflower. Substitute 5 chicken drums if turkey unavailable. Add rice if more carbs needed (or even better more oats).

There. Hope you're happy.

>> No.18182028

Yeah in the sense that it does sort of cook the egg to make it taste good. But it's not enough if you're eating American eggs that have been washed because the washing process removes a layer of the eggshell and makes it easier for bacteria to get in, in exchange for removing whatever nasty shit is usually on the egg.
This shouldn't normally be an issue because the bacteria issue is fixed by cooking the damn thing. But iirc the heat from the rice does not actually cook the egg and make it safe. Japs and euros can do it, Americans shouldn.t

It does not cook the egg, but it warms it up.

American eggs should be very very fresh. Since everyone in my area buys their eggs at the gas station, and they get resupplied daily (I regularly see the egg shelf sold out in the evening), I don't worry.

Walmart eggs are not nearly fresh enough.

If your eggs are not fresh enough to eat raw, you can fry the egg before putting it on top of the rice. Not the same, but not bad - but you would have to cook the egg.

You are spot on. It has been a go-to lunch for me since I started working out and lost nearly 30 lbs almost 2 years ago. If I am super hungry, I can add another boiled egg or even another can of tuna. That will fill me up for very long time. I usually eat a 300-400 calorie breakfast and lunch and have what I want for dinner. If I am working out a lot, I will throw in a 250 calorie protein shake after I work out, too.
