So guys i tried all methods of nicotine delivery and so far i think this is probably what theyre best for:

Cigarette: For social shit. Smoke is not good for your lungs but it helps connect with fellow smokers. Slows down time. More of a ritual.

Pipe: For relax atmosphere only. The smoke acts as an incense. Slow and relaxing.

Cigars: Kind of between the two. Expensive.

Snus: For energy and daily activities, preferably outdoors because you keep spitting. Only for yourself. Progressive and energetic.

Snuff: Kinda like snus except quicker nicotine delivery. Energetic and instant. My favorite so far.

you sound like youre new to snus. no offense but i've only heard of that happening to beginers. also what snus are you using? dont use cheap american shit like camel its not even real snus. also cigars are fine if you just smoke 1 a day and dont inhale or anything. pipe smoking and snus are the two healthiest ways of consuming tobacco fyi if ur worried about ur health. but like i said cigars are totally fine.

What the fuck do I do with a cigar? A cuban guy I worked with gave me one like 4 years ago and I just found it at the back of a shelf. I've never smoked any tobacco except once when I was 14 and my bad-boy friend took me behind the laundromat to smoke discarded cigarette butts we found.

I think I'm supposed to cut part of it off? And then people talk about inhaling vs not inhaling? Nearly all of my smoking experience is with weed, so I have no idea how different tobacco is.

>> No.18172458

>>18172437
You need a cigar cutter to cut off one end so that you can suck air through it. I suppose you could try using just a knife or scissors, but I'm not certain about that. In any event, one side will already be cut, and the other will be up to you. Then, you light one end and suck air through the other. Don't inhale, that's not what a cigar is for. Just suck air and exhale smoke. It's a slower paced type of thing than cigarettes and I imagine it's also slower than weed. And you should have an ashtray or bowl to put your ashes into

>> No.18172479

>>18172458
>Then, you light one end and suck air through the other
You light the side that comes flat and suck from the side that you freshly cut, right? Or does it even matter?
>Don't inhale, that's not what a cigar is for. Just suck air and exhale smoke
I'm not really sure what that means. How do I suck in air without inhaling?

>> No.18172498

>>18172479
It doesn't matter too much, but that is correct

So, for a cigar, you just suck in the air in one go, as opposed to something like a cigarette where you suck, exhale, and inhale again. It's sort of hard to explain, but the easiest way to say it is that you're just sucking the air through the cigar and not trying to keep it in your lungs

>> No.18172515

>>18172498
>you just suck in the air in one go, as opposed to something like a cigarette where you suck, exhale, and inhale again
Yeah sorry, I'm still not following you.
>you're just sucking the air through the cigar and not trying to keep it in your lungs
Like, it's a really shallow inhale so the cigar smoke doesn't get to my lungs and just stays in my mouth and throat? That seems like it'd be kind of difficult to do, and I can't really see what the point of doing that would be.

>> No.18172547

What common cigars can you buy easily that would be very similar to what was smoked commonly in the years 1920-1940s?

>> No.18172557

>>18172515
Not op of that, but basically glass of water, take a straw, hold your breath lightly, and suck in. Then keep the liquid in your mouth, then blow it out.
You just suck the cigar like a straw, but don't breathe. You just suck.
Can make a kissy sound with your mouth, same concept.

>> No.18172558

>>18172515
I can't really explain it, so just suck the air. Don't worry about inhaling I guess, just suck the air through the cigar and exhale after a second. As to the point, the smoke from the cigar is absorbed through a membrane in your mouth, not through your lungs

Do you guys worry about lung health? I always avoided smoking because my grandfather died from lung cancer. I tried smoking a cig in college and didn't like it. I played around with weed for a bit and enjoyed it but stopped that as well for the same reason. To be fair, my grandfather did smoke 1-2 packs a day, so I guess he would be considered a heavy smoker. He died at 59. That scares me.
