I found a bottle of this, what should I do with it? It's too expensive to just drink.

>> No.18149542

You drink it neat at room temperature, about a shot at a time, but you don't drink the whole shot at once, you take really tiny little sips and roll it around your tongue to fully appreciate it. It should probably take you 30-60 minutes to finish the shot's worth.
Do this every few days or so and it'll probably last you over a month.

pour a nice glass of it and cram it up your ass

Neat, at 15°C, with a 1-2ml of spring water to open it up, served in a clean glencairn. Any other responses are bait.

holding onto supposedly expensive ($64) whisky meant to be enjoyed when you really don't enjoy it straight up?

Cook with it. I suggest a hard sauce for some rich baked bread pudding, or a butterscotch kind of hot whiskey sauce to pour over any dessert, from ice cream to pie to cakes.

I always cook with the good stuff from the liquor cabinet. The aged flavors are nicer when warmed.

Whisky balls, or Rum Balls, are quick work with a food processor. Whirl up some cookies like Nilla Wafers into crumbs, whirl up some nuts like walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts, bit of powdered sugar, optional cocoa, couple Tbsps of corn syrup to make it sticky, and then enough whisky to moisten it. Roll into balls, and nestle in a tin with more chopped nuts and powdered sugar for the months and weeks ahead yo wish to get them stronger and stronger, or enjoy a couple from the fridge as boozy snacks.

Johnnie Walker is all between pretty good and excellent and only people who don't like scotch don't like it. Sometimes, people who don't into scotch but want to look like they do also bash JW because it's mass market.

JW Green is good. You avoid Red and Black, but they don't make bad whiskies outside of that, just a bit overpriced

Then why did you buy it? To look at a container and a liquid inside of it? If you want that just buy a lava lamp, they look cool and aren't expensive as hell
