So I bought this cast iron pan yesterday from aldi for 22$. The packaging tells me that has an enamel coating in- and outside. Does that mean I have to season it or do i not have to? Never had/used cast iron before.

I have an enamel cast iron grill pan and I didn't ind I needed to season it, although with use it does get better and better.

You have to be more careful about regulating temperature with enamel, heat it up more slowly than you would an all-metal pan and try to avoid hot/cold spots. You don't want anything to damage or crack the enamel is all.

if you want to be sure treat it with wirebrush and sandpaper then season yourself
by the way just took good ol big thick cloud of grapeseed oil smoke to the face while seasoning my pan
my eyes are burning

Judging from the picture I would say it's not enameled. Most enameled pans, including Crofton, usually have glossy, colored exteriors. The handle on that pan looks rough, which makes me think it's raw cast iron. It's tough to judge from just one picture. I would use the pan normally and if it starts to rust, you'll know it's bare cast iron.

dont do this to an enamel pan. get a separate not enameled pan if you want to do this, but sanding castiron smooth is an absolute meme.
I bought a set of 3 no name cast iron pans 10 years ago that were very rough, and they are smooth now and nothing sticks.

Inside? You're gonna need to submerge it in seasoning for at least 2 days each time.
