Opinions? And which are fine frozen?

>> No.18063801

Ideally, none. Don't freeze any vegetables. Use a weekend day to make a medly and fridge it until you absolutely have to freezer it. Just renew your fridge medly every week. It's not worth the butt cancer to freeze and reheat things.

I've heard that frozen fruits are actually the most fresh because as soon as they are picked they are flash frozen. Could be wrong though I don't eat very much frozen fruit. Only exception is Haskap Berries which get a candy-like flavour and consistency after being frozen. Tastes kinda like some sort of citrus candy, really good and they don't freeze that hard so they're easy to eat even when frozen

I mean as mentioned I only eat frozen fruit when it's Haskap Berries because they taste like candy. I guess that would be the only reason besides smoothies

You can sometimes find them here in Canada when they are in season. Still a little bit of a niche berry. When I lived in Alberta we would go over to a Haskap Berry farm in British Columbia sometimes and get some there. Now I live in New Brunswick and I found a Haskap Berry U-Pick that's opening soon just a quick drive from my house. Very tasty, especially when frozen. They take on a citrus-like flavour. Also, like a blueberry, they are packed with antioxidants. They seem to also be known as Fly Honeysuckle. Honestly I think over the next few years they will grow in popularity rapidly

Especially if you're living alone many are ok to eat frozen. All the cabbage stuff like broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, kale or even regular and red cabbage. Also beans, peas,

I'm going to have to disagree with you on brussels. Not even a comparison if you're going to pan-fry, because they have to shed their water and will never get a good sear.
