I just had my first wedding and my fridge is filled with leftover food from the reception and I still have tons more left over. If I set my central air to the lowest setting can I just leave the food out?

why even ask on a japanese basket-weaving board when you could get an actual answer in moments

Buying a chest freezer would be worth it just to keep all the catered food assuming it was actually well made

Leave the food out in the sun for a few days and then feed it to your wife. Many problems solved.

Freeze it, or invite a bunch of people over.

Rookie mistake. Have your next wedding in the winter, this one cannot be salvaged.

Give it away..or invite some people over for a brunch the day after.

The answer is usually no. If it was already cooked and sat through the length of a reception...that shit has been in a danger zone of temperatures for far too long, and not properly cooled down immediately after making it. Maybe there are leftovers because it sucked, or you simply ordered far too much in the first place. Live and learn. Who took it all to your house? Should have gone home in containers to the guests or wedding party's family. Since most people's weddings include out-of-towners and a family reunion, be smart and just invite them over to spend more time with them all...then do your "honeymoon" get away from us type of isolation afterwards. Brunch.
It's a done deal now. I'd throw it out anything that isn't a cold salad, and order pizza.

That's a very problematic thing to ask, anon.
Possibly even anti-semitic.
