What food gives you bad memories?

There was a point in time where i was eating mcdonalds big breakfast at least once a week our of sheer laziness and depression. I wasnt leaving the house either so that only made it worse.

chili.

my mom kicked me out and i went to live with my dad, but he had an even worse drug and alcohol problem than my mother, so i was even poorer than before.

i remember one time his wife made a big pot of chili that we ate for two weeks. over rice, or pasta to stretch it.

our washing machine was also broken during that period so we had to pour soap into the bathtub and stir the clothes around with a stick.

they had beer and cigarettes every day, though. he died of an overdose a few years ago.
