Hungry Howie's was incredibly good circa 2005 through 2008 in Tempe AZ back when I was in college.
I was surprised to see years later that usually someone bringing up Hungry Howie's means they're about to say how bad it is. Not sure if the quality went down or if what I prefer in pizza has always been the opposite of what these anti-Howie people are into.
Greasiest pizza I ever had, and that's a good thing.

Hungry Howie's is like Domino's tier pizza, but much cheaper. They used to have good pasta dishes but I guess that's been phased out.

I basically only go there for the buffet when I'm starving and want to eat 10lbs of pizza for $7

The cheese has a lot of provolone or something I think. Whatever it is, the cheese mix is great hot, but when it’s cold it may as well just be thrown away. You could use the cold cheese to dam a river.

The one thing they do that everyone should do is offer a flavored crust. I like the pepperoni jalapeño mushroom paired with the Cajun crust.

Hungry Howies is my favorite chain pizza but pizza in general is too expensive nowadays, so on the occasion I do get some, it's a $5 Little Squeezers Hot & Ready.
