canes sauce is quite good and i think if they made a spicy version it'd turn out very well. Zax is good too, their bread is too plain but their tenders across shops are consistent. In my experience, certain cane's locations are better than others in breading/doneness. But the sauce is always the same and it's made fresh daily™

If I go to my local supermarket they are serving fresh tenders all day that are constantly coming out of the cooker and are perfectly moist. Why would I go to cane's when I can go there and get all my normal groceries too

One opened up within walking distance from my house and I cannot overstate how much I would rather have literally anything else in place of a fucking Raising Cane's. Without question one of the blandest fast food joints, overpriced to boot, and yet every evening they have 2 lines in the drive thru backed up out into the parking lot, it's absolutely baffling. My only theory is that since we're in SoCal, everyone here is a retard and things Cane's is good.

When I first had canes I thought it was mid, but after a while you crave the simplicity. Their chicken is well made for fast food even if you don't get a lot of it, and the sauce is kind of refreshing compared to every other sweet or chemical sauce most chicken comes with. The sides are worthless though, just double up on tenders. It's definitely not a place I would've frequented when I was a dollar menu eater but when you don't care about blowing $15 on tenders and lemonade it's pretty good

Look for raw chicken. Then put it in flour. I think those were literally just thawed, raw chicken tenders I dredged in flour mixed with garlic salt, pepper and cayenne. I pan fry them in an inch of oil.

I'd get breast meat and cut it into strips instead of tenders, because they're more versatile and about $2 cheaper per pound. They do sell pic related, though.

Garlic salt, or garlic powder and salt, and a pinch of cayenne is almost a requirement for the flour if you ask me.

I fucking love Canes but as another Anon said, it really does live and die by its sauce. I absolutely love the sauce and think it pairs perfectly with the chicken. I wouldn’t eat it without sauce

However small, I do think the bread is actually pretty good. Seems like its not even worth mentioning but its actually a crime how many chicken places just fuckup bread, and alot just give you a piece of shit slice of white bread. Butter on both sides (BOB) texas toast from Canes is actually pretty fucking great.

I used to go there a lot but they lessened the size of the tenders and raised the price and a lot of places only toast one side of the toast.

This. I had one near my university in 2011-2012 and it was great food for the price, only beaten by the donut shop late-night gyro meals. The last time I had it was when it spread to the West Coast and I got it in LA where it sucked how much it shrunk down but was still good taste-wise. The sauce is great I think but it's been leaked online so kinda not really a positive point. The secret is to let it sit in the fridge once mixed for a bit and it is great.
