I have been buying the cornbread twists from the Pillsbury can and wrapping them around oven baked dogs.

When freshly deep fried at the fair they are delicious. Out of a box in the freezer they are awful.

the simplicity is what makes them good. you have to nail the batter and get a good quality dog, after that all you need is seasoning and sauce. i personally prefer it to loading up my food with a bunch of bullshit toppings. two, three maximum if i'm going that route.

I'm an Europoor who has never been to north america, so I haven't tried them, but they look like one of few american food things worth a try. I myself would season andnspice the batter with stuff like cayenne andncumin, it would probably make it bomb.
