How does one reheat fried chicken correctly?

>> No.17922822

warm it up in the microwave a bit, then pan fry in a decent amount of oil to crisp the skin.

>> No.17922829

I just heat it in the oven till it's sizzling.

>> No.17922844

>>17922788
This is the only correct answer.

>> No.17922854

Refry if you want it back up to 10/10. But if you don't suffer from autism you'll do it like the rest of us and just stick it in the oven or an airfryer if you have one, and that'll bring it to 8/10 which is good enough.

>> No.17922860

>>17922774
if you double fry it as you should, only do the second fry for the portion which you will eat. then to reheat the leftovers, you do the second fry. also works for other kinds of breaded meat

It's relative to the cut you're reheating. Wings reheat better in an air fryer. Thighs reheat better in the oven, 375*F, as previous anon said until the skin looks like it's sizzling. Breasts (the non-human variety) are better cold; since they are so lean, they dry out when you reheat them.

>> No.17924160

what if i wrap the chicken loosely in foil and bake in toaster oven at 400F for 5 minute? will that heat it up while retaining moisture?

>> No.17924440

>>17924160
That would steam the breading. Just be attentive and use a thermometer to pull the chicken out as soon as it gets to 130-140.

as you can see the answers are big oven or small oven aka airfryer. i prefer the latter since small means it's quicker and you can often get away with skipping preheat while I've never had any such luck with a normal oven. too bad most of them are pricy, i just have one as a gift which was nice
