who buys this crap instead of making their own?

Eventually it gets tiresome toasting and grinding spices. This is why I buy curry powder and add shit to it in order to make it more agreeable.

alright post your recipe then

even if you don't toast and grind your own, buying individual spices and then making your own combo will almost always be better

those premixed spices are usually filled to the brim with salt

the separate spices will last you many more meals and you aren't confined to just making tacos with them. do you even use spices?

of course I use spices but all I'm sayin is sometimes you don't have to do things the hard way to them the right way. Some people may never ever use paprika every again etc.

also, let's be honest, premixed taco seasoning packets get the flavor balances just right. when someone's hankering for a taco that's the flavour they're craving

Who buys a house instead of building their own?

Same principle but more exaggerated to highlight your retardedness. Think about it long and hard.

You do, obviously. I'd never buy the stuff, nor even consider it.

I usually buy the hot version of the simmer sauce from Frontera grill if I'm after the best flavor for an oldfashioned tex mex ground beef taco cooked in a skillet. I don't usually keep canned chipotle on hand you see and Rick Bayliss makes a whole line of excellent sauces for everything from enchiladas to carnitas in the crock pot.

Outside of that, the packets in an old el paso kit are usually too salty for me. For grilled meats on tacos for like a soft corn tacos al carbon, usually just some lime and garlic marinade real fast. The taco will get dressed with a homemade salsa, so notthing sprinkled all overe the steak or chicken.

When I make my own chili, not tacos, surely I reach into my spices for garlic, cumin, two kinds of chili powder, and I'm usually adding some dried soaked combo of anchos, pasilla and california chilies that I blend up in the blender with some of the soaking liquid.

People who make tacos once in a while and don't want to spend $30 on spices they'll use once every month.
It's more economical to spend $5 on a decent spice blend, as long as you make sure it isn't 50% salt.

>>17904623
Unless you're making tacos every afternoon or storing them in air-tight canisters, they're going to lose their potency long before you ever use them up.

depends on your area though
housing market has been fucked sideways for the past few years since the covid shit started
but just buying a plot of land is still cheap as hell. adding the costs of building your own home by hand, hell even buying a prefab/modular home and have someone else do it for you on that land you bought adds up to be way cheaper than finding some shitty 1970s fixer upper that the bank that foreclosed on 2-3 years ago on some poorfag family and they're too stubborn to list the house at a reasonable price because they're jews

I don' eat tacos/burritos that often so its easier to just buy premade. Coincidentally it also includes a lot of the spices I use in my every day cooking anyways so I can just use it for that too.
