Now most people always like their local hot sauces, but for someone who has like 20 bottles of different sauces in their fridge I can conclude the best company is Queen Majesty Hot Sauce. Some other recs though would be Isabel Street Heat's Chipotle, Lola's Original (great on mac and cheese), Hoff and Pepper's Smokin Ghost and if you're ever in Norway, Midsummer Flagship is a must.

Depends what you're using it for. Basic crystal is good for tons of shit, or el yucateco their xxx mayan recipe is nice, but other than crystal or louisiana i mostly just make my own shit with peppers from my garden. It's easy as fuck since I basically just blend up whatever peppers, vinegar, and salt lol. About out of habanero, next I guess it's gonna be carolina reaper sauce cause that's what I've got on hand.

Maybe it's just the market expanding. They're good for a standard sauce. I see them talked about as much as Marie Sharps, both are quality but neither are really anything very exceptional. With more options around, and with more people seeing that a hot sauce can be more than just a simple "hot pepper and vinegar" sauce, they don't stand out so much. A sauce with an asian zing, a bit of fruit, etc, is more likely to catch attention. Da Bomb and such are mainstays just because of the extract heat that would ruin any flavor anyway lol, that's why they haven't dropped off in popularity as much. Well, anyway, that's my guess on the situation.
