They're probably the single cheapest meat product you can find at a grocery store. I assume that's because normies are creeped out by organ meat or something.
What's the best way to cook them so they're more tender?

You see that white stuff in the middle? That's tough and fibrous. You won't be able to get rid of it without losing a ton of meat. Use a really sharp knife and if you can get rid of any without losing any meat, do. Otherwise, cut them into halves or quarters as this will lessen the amount of connective material; it doesn't dissolve it will only shrink.

You can either stew gizzards for a very long time or cook them very quickly. Going middle-ground will end up with a very tough meat. Hearts are fucking awesome. They're a multi-chamber heart like other mammals and mostly just meat, with each section having different flavor and toughness, but too tiny to tell. They're sold together because they can be cooked the same way.

These are really good for fishing so I would say put them on your hook and cast into a cool lake or river and get a fish to eat instead.

I mean that mammals all have 4 chambered hearts. So do chickens. Let's not grade-school biology here and go into open, semi-open, and closed circulatory systems.

I'm sorry. Chickens have 4 chambered hearts like all mammals.
