i want to make my own strawberries and cream instant oatmeal mix, the dry stuff. like how people make home made hot chocolately milk mixes. i fucking love this flavor. there is something so humbling and wholesome about it. eating it is like a hug.
i cant find a recipe on it. i like the idea of making my own dry mix to control sweetness and ingredients. i was thinking
>freeze dried strawberries
>instant oatmeal
>powdered milk
>sugar
maybe adding regular dried strawberries to the mix might make it have a better strawberry flavor. could add nutz. other things. i think this recipe would be the general idea of a base mix. what knowledge does 4chan have to offer me.

Why not just buy it if you're creaming your jeans over oatmeal.

I've done something like this for innawoods /ck/, using loose ingredients eyeballed together rather than a premeasured mix and it works well. Autisming out the ideal proportions ahead of time is probably unnecessary unless you're after the absolute maximum prep convenience
dried fruit doesn't really rehydrate in the same sense that freeze-dried stuff does, but it's still pretty good and quite a bit cheaper. Also, you should consider using a higher-quality oatmeal than the generic Quaker stuff, it makes a significant difference

State of this cope. The US version uses apple flavoured with artificial strawberry. UK version uses real fruit
