No, I like oatmeal raisin, as well. Mama NEVER made chocolate chip or anything "unhealthy" but reasoned that oatmeal raisin was fine. I didn't even know about any other kind of cookies for a long time, and even when I had my first chocolate chip, sugar cookie, peanut butter, whatever, I still went back to Mama's oatmeal raisin cookies, and to this day they remind me of her, God rest her soul.

Im sure all the recipes are pretty similar
The key is to use shortening, make sure they are fully chilled before scooping (I leave overnight in fridge), and be sure to not overbake.
