You know, sometimes the pizza at 7-11 looks reeeeally good. I never get it. But it's so tempting.

Don't do it. Nothing is safe to eat unless it's made with care and respect, and that ain't at 7-11.

It's alright. Very doughy crust, sweet sauce, greasy cheese. If you get the pepperoni it's even more grease. Sits like a rock in your stomach. I used to eat a couple slices for lunch once or twice a week when I was a college student.

When did 7-Eleven start selling half the shit you people mention on here?
I haven't been to one in, like, 10-15 years or so and they didn't sell fucking pizza or wings or shit like that back then.

Yeah, I remember when they added taquitos. That was around the time I stopped going. Not for any reason of hating taquitos or anything, just that I no longer had any desire to frequent 7-Eleven.
As far as I've known, they've always had hot dogs, nachos and that hot-dog-shaped burger which was surprisingly good. Do they still even have said unholy burger-dog hybrid?

It's actually good if you ask them to make you a fresh one. Buy a whole pizza it's like $5 and it tastes really good, it's like Lil' C's.
The ones in the terrarium sit around all day and get really tough and earn a more plastic flavor. I also like those too but they're not in the same ballpark.

You're talking about the Cheeseburger BigBite. Yeah they still have it.

7/11 food has been my favorite since childhood. I remember when my parents first started letting me go outside and wander around town by myself, I must've been around 11, my favorite thing to do was go to 7/11 and get the nachos and load it up with a huge mountain of cheese. Like, I would keep squirting it until the apu would be narrowing his eyes at me. Then I would go outside and sit on the curb and eat it under the hot sun while imagining that I was Beavis and Butt-Head.

The best food 7/11 ever had was a McRib knockoff which in my town was available for a few years roughly 2008-2012. It came in the fridge next to the ice creams, and you had to microwave it yourself in the store's microwave. It was miles better than the real McRib, of which I am also a big fan. I used to laugh at the label which has a huge text saying "made of REAL rib-shaped pork!!" It was like something they would sell at the krusty burger in the Simpsons. But believe me, that thing was really good.

I do like the current offerings but I have to say, 7/11 definitely doesn't have the soul it used to have. There's something about those shamelessly bad old foods like the ribwich and the big'un which just had such a charm to me. The new stuff pretends to be good but it's actually a bit worse, it's less inventive, quite expensive, and they go a lot longer between testing new products. Feels like the company is more mature and afraid to innovate, and somewhere along the line, they forgot who I was. But it's been years since I've eaten those nachos on the curb under the hot sun. Maybe I've forgotten who I was too.

Japan bought 7-Eleven sometime back. Don't recall when and CBA to look it up, but shortly thereafter, they experimented a lot with either new products (like taquitos), carrying shit the average American at the time was unaware of (like Japanese melon ramune, Korean cup noodles and Italian ice-cream-stuffed-fruit; the orange one was sofa king good) or bizarre services (do they still run their own mobile phone network thing or have they stopped that?).
Once they understood that Americans will eat any ol' slop you plop in front of them, the innovation stopped and slop kept a'comin'.

Holy fuck my local 7-11 unironically sells hot dogs and it has a small little turny thing that displays the name of the dog in English and Spanish so there's a bunch of writing on them. Anyway, one of the dogs is called spicy bite. The fucking 'Y' rubbed off on the goddamn turny thing. It just says fucking SPIC BITE.

Spic bite. Should I take a picture tomorrow and make a thread bros?

The first piece is fine. It's good, even, especially the first half. By the end of the first piece the novelty has worn off. Halfway through the second you'll realize you have to do this six more times if you don't want to waste food, and the taste is rapidly worsening.

I fell for the meme exactly one. Saw pic related and thought that it looked good. You know how people say there is no such thing as bad pizza because even bad pizza is still pizza?

Not 7/11 pizza, that shit is straight up vile. I ate a whole slice because I was in denial that I bought a whole round of inedible pizza and then I through the rest of it in the trash. I can't even describe to you how horrid it was. I'm not a picky pizza lover, Little Ceasers is one of my favorites and people give that chain so much shit for low quality. 7/11 is on a whole different level.

Agree with all this. I spent Thanksgiving alone once and wanted pizza only everything was closed... except 7-11. So I went there and had them bake me a whole cheese pizza (they didn't have pepperoni). It was absolutely disgusting. I managed 1.5 pieces then threw the rest away, and I never waste food like that.

Little Caesars is godlike compared to this garbage.

in what way was it bad, was it really salty/greasy or something?

>> No.17764161

>>17764124
No, I have no problem with salt or grease. It tasted actively bad and the crust was unnaturally pillowy. I think the sauce was the worst part, it was some weird sickly sweet flavor, not even like Papa John's sweet but some revolting thing all its own.

I know we all like to exaggerate here, but I'm dead serious when I say this was worse even than that shit some of us had in grade school. I hate wasting food, but this was disgusting when it was fresh, and the thought of putting these leftovers in the fridge and then reheating them later was wretched.

I get the 7 meat pizza at 7-11 and tell the lady to cook it longer until it's well done. After that I bring it to the little hot dog station and cover the pie with jalapenos and onions.
