They don't have normal field rations because Israel's actually a tiny country and well stocked with food (less than 1 hour drive from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem), so the kind of rations you'd normally see on Steve1989 are unnecessary. Even during wartime, the IDF has a massive network of field kitchens and impromptu mess halls based on local produce and kibbutzes. The boxed rations are just a supplement to ensure consistency of ingredients, not a full meal replacement.
