The overpopulation is horrific, there is garbage literally everywhere, there is barely any national forrests and parks or public land. The entire benefit of the west is there aren't a bunch of rotting houses all around you filled with the spawn of npcs too afraid to cross the cumberland gap. You can get a small plot of land for a trailer unless you choose to live in a city in the Midwest. The rest of the land is owned by factory farms. Also, they’re literally the fattest states. The only skinny people there are the meth heads. East coast is prime for small farms and decent land. I’d say go for south central PA, or the counties outside of the Philly area. Chester County is really nice and on the Philly main line where you can get to the city in under an hour, but it’s expensive. Berks and Lancaster counties are nice. Avoid York county but a little further west than that is nice too.
