I'm normally prepared like that too but this was a big fuckin' move and I didn't have the luxury of planning quite so thoroughly. I had less than two weeks notice to move out of my 3br house and move 3 hours away ready to start work right after easter. It's a miracle I'm as organized as I am.

I regularly order delivery when I'm in a hotel and have the reception ring me up to say my order has arrived, and I trod on over there in my bathrobe and slippers and to collect it if I'm in a good mood. If I'm not, I have them carry it up. Delivery might be expensive but hotel food is even more.

I live around fast food heaven with KFC, Taco Bell, Chick-Fil-A, McDonalds, Pub Sub all within a quarter mile of each other. But they know me and I don't want them to judge me. So once a week I drive out of area to another location with lots of options close by.
I hit a couple different drive thrus and get a Bacon King, Chalupa, Frosty with Wendys Fries, and Spicy Chicken Deluxe. Just sit in my car in the Wendy's parking lot by the dumpster and EAT while listening to talk radio. Then if I'm too full whatever food is leftover I fuck in my car and when I'm done throw it out the window for the birds or some bum. Then I drive home knowing my local fast food didn't know what I just did.

every once and a while I'll book a couple of nights at a cheap airbnb at some random city 300-500 miles from my home and take a motorcycle trip.
Its mostly just for the ride but I'll eat out ~4 times a day during these trips and i try to make the local food big part of the trip.

I usually binge on drugs and get sort of rowdy too but I'm no stranger to pigging out in a rental, even a rental bedroom in somebody elses house as gross as that must be for them

I've done this a few times. When life is stressing me out I'll get a hotel room and have a night to myself. I'll get a case of beer, maybe some liquor, a shit load of food, a pack of cigarettes and occasionally some recreational drugs. Getting piss drunk, gorging on my favorite foods, betting on sports/watching a game, watching porn, calling a phone sex line, having a nice long edging session...can't beat it. Genuinely don't know what sort of brain sickness makes any aspect of pigging out on an exorbitant amount of cheap, shitty fast food a fun or guilty pleasure thing.

Maybe it is because I haven't regularly consumed fast food for well over a decade that in the rare occasions I have it, I just feel slightly sick and regretful rather than a chemical impulse to stuff my face with even more. Even when I've been super drunk on a night out, two mcDoubles was enough to make me sick to my stomach.

One thing I genuinely pig the fuck out on for some reason is indian food, especially when you get a huge spread of curries, chutneys, biryani, and flatbreads. I just become a bottomless pit.

I used to do this a lot in college. There was a cheap hotel within walking distance of my dorm and over the summer or holidays I'd rent out a room at the hotel for a couple days and just eat like shit and get piss drunk and watch TV or movies. I could've easily just done that at my dorm, but there's something about being in a hotel that makes it feel different. It's more charming or something. I don't know. In hindsight it was a gigantic waste of money, but I regret nothing.
