I am from Georgia, and we eat buttermilk pie here. My uncle is from Texas and grew up on chess pie, which is very similar but slightly different in execution Its really just slight regional variations

Wtf I didn't know ck was so full of yankees. Try to imagine solidified syrup, with more of a straight sugar taste. It's probably the most basic form of pie. You can make it in different flavors. My favorite is chocolate, which is usually never my flavor of choice but it really shines as a chess pie.
