I agree that we have to many flavors, it really does complicate the supply chain and makes the order builders job more complicated.

The sales team figures if they throw enough ideas at the market something will stick though.

We did really well when covid first hit in 2020 because we only did stock pallets and core flavors, we made a ton of money since the warehouse and truck drivers had very little manual builds.

We have junk flavors like "true north" that will just go out of date in the warehouse. My local branch just threw out about 500cs of 20oz Fanta Dragonfruit, huge waste.

I normally just buy the big bottles since its cheaper than getting the canned soda. And Publix regularly has buy 2 get 2 free so I just get 2 coke zero, and 2 sprite zero. I'd get a Fanta instead of one of the Sprites if they still sold it.

You got any pointers on keeping big bottles fizzy? I find that after a few days, the soda goes flat, no matter what I do. Maybe not completely flat, but significantly less carbonation than what it started with.

I usually buy canned soda, even if it costs more. I still haven't pulled the trigger on Sodastream/DIY soda yet, because I've still yet to figure out how economic it is.

When everyone was describing it as a cotton candy-like soda, I was pretty excited because one of my favorite sodas ever is more or less a cotton candy/bubble gum cream soda. I even heard some describe the aftertaste as mint-y which was even better. One of my favorite sodas was the old Pepsi Ice that was more or less just a mint cola.

I tasted Starlight and it was INCREDIBLY disappointing. It's actually impressive how accurate ReviewBrah was with the flavor, it was exactly raspberry with a bit of a bubblegum twist that lingers into this really weird graham cracker taste.

It really is hard to describe because the cotton candy taste is distinctly different than like rock candy which is also pure sugar. I guess it would be more accurate to call it a bubblegum taste that leans a bit sweeter.
