my childhood friend's literally retarded aunt worked at six flags and lived in a trailer park walking distance away, so we could get in for free. but that was it, no rides, no food. rides were pretty easy to sneak onto kinda just blending in with a youth group or looking in the trash for lanyards or wrist bands. 90% of the time, the ride attendant didn't even give a shit. we got pretty good at cheating vending machines and pilfering stuff from snack kiosks, or sneaking into the unstaffed food stands and fixing nachos or stealing cokes or icecreams. stolen food tastes better. pretty kino summer memories

Took family to Disney world a when kids were around 6 to 9, boys hated it thought everything was girly and fake. Plan B was Busch Gardens. Boys were loving it, going on rides they really weren't big enough for, I was loving the beer and cute Florida girls, wife was loving not hearing complaining from the boys. Perfect day. It depends on where you go, some of the places in the parks are barely above cafeteria food (e.g., Cosmic Ray's or Pecos Bill in Magic Kingdom) and others have better options. Typically the newer parks/areas have better food. They are pretty explicit in the guides about what is what if you learn to read past the terminology they use.
Epcot during the Food and Wine Festival is the theme park food GOAT. The last couple of times I went my brother, brother-in-law, and I ditched our families at the Mexico pavilion and went on the "world tour" by using all the snacks we had left on the meal plans to try all the food and drinks. It was a pretty sad display of abandonment and excess. It was also when I saw Kenny G at the America pavilion and annoyed the guy beside me (who was unironically interested in Kenny G) because I drunkenly thought it was Weird Al.
All that being said the resort food at mid-level and up is much better than the park food. We ate most of our meals at the resorts. It's a better selection and probably healthier too.
I agree though that Disney is pozzed as shit and I'm trying to wean my family off them.

This, especially modern Disney parks, they are nothing like how they used to be. Too expensive, overcrowded and capitalist, for lack of a better word. I prefer going to other parks now, not nearly as crowded, often have better rides and not nearly as much penny-pinching and rip-offs. The only thing Disney has going for them is branding and nostalgia, which it seems they are doing their best to destroy every passing week. I don't even think they are the best in Orlando any more, Universal alone looks far more interesting, especially with Nintendoland.

Disneyland was actually fun to go to because it had heart and soul and you could feel it vs the soulless heartless jew corporate hellscape that is disneyworld designed to extract as much of your sheckles as possible. Post lockdown Disneyland has been on a mission to remove all the heart and soul it had in favor of jew soullessness penny pinching and finally sold its soul when it introduced lighting lane and magic genie+. I'm Swedish and I went to Disneyland in Anaheim in 2010.
I don't remember much about it except there were like no lines for space mountain so I went on it 3 times.
I see people complain all the time about how there are long lines and the average guest only gets to go on like 5 rides but idk if the park was just empty that day, but I rode probably like 15-16 rides in one day.
>astro blasters one twice
>splash mountain twice (which broke down once during the climb so we got a free fastpass which we used on thunder mountain)
>space mountain 3 times (was my favorite)
>indiana jones
>matterhorn
>haunted mansion
>pretty much all the small rides
>rode the train and the monorail.
so 12yo me had a great experience at disney in 2010.
Had pizza in tomorrowland too.
