That's not how subsets work.
If you have a grand, then that means you have 100. It means you also have 101, 102, and 103.
If you have a grand, that means you possess all possible increments between 0 and 1000.

That's also why a grand is so valuable in the first place. No one would want it if you could only use it to purchase things that are exactly $1,000, and it's amazing that you're struggling with a concept that even 6 year olds get.
