Europoor here. I've always hated cooking on electric stoves compared to gas, but since my continent is a vassal of America and our psychopathic leaders have decided that populations must be sacrificed to feed the insatiable bloodlust of America, I think starting tomorrow I will be very glad to be living in an apartment building with electric appliances and oil central heating.

Gasbros, what are you going to do when Putin turns off the gas tomorrow? Do you have a backup solution? Might be a good idea to buy at least a portable electric hob now before they're all sold out.

Have you been stocking up on non-perishable foods. I've been amassing cans, rice, flour, cooking oil, etc. but it's still nothing that could sustain my family for a long period of time.

Nice try blaming the US but the gas crisis is because a bunch of fossil fuels shills shilled LNG as a "sustainable renewable energy solution" after tricking normies with such lies as "solar can't reduce reliance on fossil fuels because the sun goes down at night, scientists have never thought of this until now!" and instead of working on reducing reliance on fossil fuels they managed to INCREASE it. Mostly thanks to Germans, in particular, thanks to well connected corrupt officials in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

You can take my copper pans from my cold dead hands.

I have an electric stove, but even if I didn't I could just fire up the grill.
Rent is the only expense I truly worry about. I can get by without other utilities etc. if I have to.
I used to work at the local hospital and I know they don't have any kind of locks or ID checks for accessing the showers for staff for example.
If I get to a point where I don't have running water of my own I'll just leech off them.
Plenty of fish and game and kitchen gardens in the area as well.

Are you saying that Russia turning off the gas means you have to shower somewhere else and fish for food? I don't see the connection here m8

If he has a gas water boiler, it will mean no hot water for showers.

Food shortages in Europe and America are an anticipated consequence of the sanctions on Russia, although if gas stops, probably it will expedite supply chain issues in some way.

Retarded American here, why is any of this our problem? The EU doesn't listen to the US about anything really. From what I understand Merkel was close to Putin and just kind of assumed that Russia and Germany would be BFF.

Now back to cooking when the utilities go out. Get a petrol or butane powered burner. If you cannot get that then improvise a hobo stove.

US isn't expecting any real food shortages, that's an EU problem. There will be yet more supply chain issues,so stock up on what you need.

And here's a DIY rocket stove, a refinement of the hobo stove.

The reason our politicians are doing retarded sanctions on Russia which hurt us more than them (Russia is effectively in autarky mode and doing just fine) and the reason our politicians are refusing to pay in Rubles for Russian energy is because they are doing what America tells them to. Likewise, the reason there is war in Ukraine now is because America did a coup there 8 years ago.

>The EU doesn't listen to the US about anything really
I wish it were true.

America installed a puppet regime in Ukraine and told them to be as belligerent as possible towards Russia in the hopes that Russia would retaliate. America's response has been to ramp up political pressure on Europe, waging a non-stop propaganda war, and the result of this has been that USA finally got Germany to cancel Nordstream2. With Putin now demanding Rubles for gas instead of Euros or Dollars (if he accepts payments in Euros or Dollars, he will be effectively giving away Russian gas for free, since European banks have frozen Russia's Euro and Dollar accounts), USA has successfully engineered a gas crisis in Europe.

Do you blame Russia for being dumb enough to think they could get away with establishing missile bases in Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis? You probably do, and I do too.

Do you blame the USA for being dumb enough to think they could do the same thing in Ukraine today? No, you don't, because you're retarded.

Photovoltaics alone (ignoring other forms of solar energy production) has the long term capability of supporting slightly over half of the EU's current energy needs. That's double the current share of LNG (22%).

Would it be safe to conclude that you consider LNG to be totally unviable as a large scale source of energy? I mean not only can it barely power 1/4 of EU's power requirements, but it's constantly at risk of being turned off based on geopolitical squabbles.

I have an extremely difficult time figuring out where you could possibly live based on this. I mean, you're obviously some degree of schizo but I'd have to guess you live in Syria or Pakistan to write a post like this.
