they don't understand what words are. you have to give them the number.
but watch out for telling them amounts in number form. for example "Can I get '2' '8' pieces cheddar jalapeno bites" won't translate. YOu have to clarify that you want a double order of, or you want two orders of cheddar jalapeno bites and wait for them to ask what size.

it's weird, but trust me, if you use the words you'll confuse them, and if you use more than the necessary amount of numbers in the order it'll ctrl-alt-del everything they're doing.
