54 year old here, and I started smoking when I was 16 as that's when we started drinking and most of the my friends were already smoking. I remember buying a pack of Camel unfiltered (because it was a cool WWII brand) and coughing my ass off, then a buddy gave me one of his Cools and here I am today.

Currently smoke pic related, as it's only $55 per carton opposed to the $75 for a carton of Newport Lights.

>> No.17581432

>>17581397
American Spirit certainly isn't the Cadillac of cigarettes, although they are higher quality than other gas station brands like Marlboro, Camel, etc. For high end cigarettes you will want to go to a tobacconist and look for something like Dunhill. As for American Spirit specifically, black are my favorite due to the blend. Organic is meaningless as far as I'm concerned. Their light offerings I find to be pretty flavorless, and of them the new Sky variety is my pick - it's essentially a Yellow (full flavor light) with a charcoal filter. Blacks taste good due to the perique, but they are not good for new smokers due to their strength. I find their menthol varieties much too mild.

Okay so at risk of being ridiculed, I gotta ask. Does anyone here smoke irregularly and likes it but doesn't get cravings or even get much of a nicotine high. All my friends who smoke say I'm full of shit but I legitimately don't smoke for weeks at a time and will pick up a pack when I'm drunk because one of the only times I enjoy smoking is when I've finished my drinks and am just keeping the buzz going with cigarettes. The only time other than this is after one particular shift at work (like 4 hours extra on Friday), I like to have a cigarette on the way to the train. I don't really feel the "buzz", some times I just feel a bit ill if anything. I almost never crave a cigarette unless drunk either.

So what the fuck is up with me? Am I somehow just not biologically compatible to nicotine? I get cravings to get drunk sometimes so I know I'm definitely not the type to not get addicted to stuff. Had the cravings with smoking pot back when I used to as well, but cigarettes seem to never stick.

Same here. I love smoking, I'll never quit it. But I very rarely smoke during weekdays or on Sunday. Only friday/saturday evening/night. I'm repulsed by the thought of smoking on workday mornings

Reminder that the filters in cigarettes don't make them any healthier and that "light" refers to the flavor of the tobacco.

Everything you buy in a pre-rolled cigarette is trash, and half of what you buy pre-shredded is trash.

Imagine being this much a retard.
Vaping has been studied by the UK for years. Stop with your delusion Americuck propaganda.
You're literally inhaling smoke that gives your lungs cancer vs inhaling vapor that doesn't do that.

Same happens to me and also with coffee. Maybe I need to smoke a whole pack in an hour to feel something just like I need to drink a liter of coffee in 15 minutes to feel something. A cigarette or a cup does nothing to me

Depends on what you smoke. Obviously no one really likes the smell of smoke but some little black girl, you know how brutally honest they are, walked by me at work after my smoke brain and she had a giggle and told me I smelled like BBQ. She was dead on since I smoke the mesquite American Spirits.

bros give it to me straight, realistically how dangerous is it to smoke a cigg or two a day?

>> No.17588990

Not really that bad at all. You realize most old people are going on packs a day and they're still not dead. Well were inflation and taxes is curbing that behavior.

The only reason you think it good is because you were constantly craving it during the period in which you couldn't have it
You can smoke all other times of the day, other than eat, sleep, and sex. When do nicotine addicts say the best smoke of the day is? Hm...
