I like the concept of removing bread from burgers to make them healthier, but other than lettuce, are there any more edible materials we could use instead? Ive seen edible plastic wrap around certain foods. Wondering how it would hold up on a burger.

In a sandwich I'm less concerned with dirty fingers and more concerned with the contents falling apart. Make a double down with beef patties and you'll get a mess before you're halfway done. The chicken holds together much better because it's a whole fried tenders.

I would be willing to try a salilsbury steak double down.
