I don’t understand why it’s complicated. For example, I can get just rice, beans, chicken, grilled veggies, hot sauce, and guacamole dumped in a bowl. Maybe if I’m feeling frisky a bit of cheese on top. Nothing seems overly salty, nothing is fried, at least my body burns it clean. I find it a useful place for this purpose, and I can’t imagine why anyone would even consider it a restaurant. To me, it’s kind of a harm reduction from everything drive-thru.

This. Chipotles are usually staffed by low-paid immigrants while taquerias are owned and staffed by white people who actually make living wages. Don't be a racist; don't contribute to the problem.

Chipotle costs too much for what it is and the one by me is staffed by really unhappy workers. I feel bad for them. They were nice enough to me but they all seemed depressed and or just over it so I never go there. Don't want to bother them.

i don't understand what people think is wrong with chipotle. they're one of the few chain restaurants that don't freeze their products. if they were freezing the meat then the quality would be no different from eating a frozen dinner.
the only thing that makes or breaks a restaurant is how much the employees give a shit. the local chipotle is filled with black people who leave the place filthy, talk loudly over orders and mess things up. they close it for online orders only at night because they don't want to take orders from people. it's the lowest rated restaurant in the city and bleeding money, i don't know how it's even still open, or allowed to be open when it operates like that.
