this is true across the board with ore-ida fries and rings and tots. they used to always be the best now the store brands "Best Choice" and walmart's brand are both better.

The Ore-Idas have a weird chemical taste to them almost metallic. Perhaps it could be the oil they are using? I grew up on ore-ida and I noticed this about 2 years ago.

This is in Straya, but the home brand Pringles are better in all 3 of our major stores ever since Pringles swapped us from American made imports to using the Malaysian made ones.
The Malaysian pringles are smaller, have less in the tube, are utterly tasteless with no difference between flavours. They also cost twice as much.
The home brand versions are like the old US pringles. Main downsides is the only flavours are salted & sour cream+onion.
The weirdest fucken thing is that the home brand versions are all made in Malaysia as well so the Pringles company could obviously have decided to keep the old style.. I assume they just wanted to use shrinkflation with the excuse of changing where they were supplied from.

Morrison's in the UK used to stock its own brand of Cauliflower Rice. It wasn't amazing but it was pretty good.
They replaced it with some shitty cauliflower rice made by Fullgreen and it tastes worse a cum-filled asshole.

Wegmans used to have those raspberry danish things like Entenmann's but they just disappeared off the shelves. I asked them what happened to them and they said they were forced to remove them off the shelves because they had transfats in the recipe.
When they brought them back they were more expensive and tasted like shit while before they were cheaper than Entenmanns and tasted way better.
