Rate my poorfag meal.

Chicken looks good, can't go wrong with white rice but those beans look unappetizing.

>> No.17557747

What kind of rice is that?

chicken looks like it's got a nice chili seasoning. Beans indeed don't look that appetizing, the color of the sauce is a bit off imo. Still, solid meal, would probably enjoy.

I'd get some lettuce or cucumber instead of the beans for a little vitamin, fiber, lightness, crunch, but I'd eat that as is too

Looks like it'd hit the spot on a cold night after working hard for the day, here for it.

I shop around and drumsticks are runner up poorfag cut. The cheapest I've found was bone-in skin-on chicken thighs for 0.99 per pound at costco. Which compared to boneless skinless is 2 dollars cheaper. Thighs don't even have enough bones to justify the 2 dollar increase I don't understand. Also you can make chicken stock out of the bones! Baffling

explain those drummies. my favourite piece of chicken. i would get a bucket o' drumsticks from KFC if they'd let me

Chicken looks crispy and well seasoned, rice looks nice, and the beans look like they would coat the rice well after mixing it. Well done, I'd say 8/10 op

Add diced raw onion or jalapeno and it'd be a lot better. Otherwise looks good.

with cost of everything going up i've also foregone leg+thigh cuts for just thigh cuts. bulk styrofoam pack of leg+thigh is literally 2 1/2 times the cost of a bulk box of seasoned skin on legs. i've been having a lot of fried chicken + skin on fries recently. legs also go great in curry.

Is that actually true?
I don't mean to be a numbers autist, but surely if you calculate the actual amount of edible meat vs bone weight you would find sometimes different cuts would yield a better ratio, meaning a better price over a bigger amount of meals right?

Hell yeah, I dredged mine in flour, then egg, then garlic panko breading and they came out incredible. One of my great joys is heating home cooked food up in the toaster oven at work while my coworkers eat doordash fast food
