I drove over to a local Popeye's Chicken. I was really happy when I saw no line, usually the drive thru line is out into the road. Then I pulled in and saw a tiny sign on their drive up enter and exit signs saying their dining room and drive thru was closed till further notice. Pretty sure they go shut down by health inspectors. My question to you is, would you go back after they reopen? I think in a moment of fried chicken withdrawal I might go back.

I've eaten at places with C and D ratings before and never got any sort of gastric discomfort

Go back after they reopen? Are you kidding? I would break in and steal everything - the chicken, the breading, the fries, the old grease that hadn't been poured out yet.
I would devour all of it. I would gorge myself until my abdomen bursts open and my entrails pour out onto the floor, and then gorge myself even more.
That's what being an American is all about.

i 100% got food poisoning from an eatery like 2-3 times and continued to eat there because i was young and healthy and the food was amazing

Yes because I have never gotten food poisoning and your kitchen is probably an F.

My kitchen is pretty clean. I keep the counters and table extra clean and free of clutter so my kitties can get up on them and lay down.

i mean, i have better chicken places around. but for clarity's sake i will explain. if the health department closed them down, then before they open up again they have to fix whatever was wrong to begin with. so they'll be the safest place to go compared to everywhere else for a while.

Depends on the reason for the health code violation.
Some violations are purely retarded.

Tons of times you'll see shit like
>Employees had water bottles / cups outside of the break room.
>Cleaning rags stored in sanitizer solution.

This
As long as you don't have rats / roaches / flies, most people won't care.

This is the most cringe mentally ill post I’ve seen in a very long line of extremely cringe mentally ill posts. Seek help.

I dunno. Realistically, few kitchens would pass health checks. But I would eat at other people's houses.
If I really liked the place, I might. But if it's just a Popeye's, eh.
If it's actually unhealthy it gets shut down. I'm pretty sure B and C are also decent ratings but people assume A is the minimum. Which defeats the purpose of grades.

There was a donut place by me that got shut down by the health inspector twice in like 3 years, went out of business and got bought by a different guy, then got shut down again. I never stopped going there. I think if you drink enough then things like unclean food can't make you sick

If it's a place where I can see the kitchen from the lobby, I'd at least scope the place out and see if they'd improved.
Depending on how that went, I might eat there.

Failing an inspection just means the owner was too cheap to bribe the inspector.
Trust me. Not only did I work a kitchen for years, but my corrupt shitbag uncle was a health inspector.
