does my plant get hurt if i water it with carbonated water?

>> No.17546071

It's fairly acidic so I'm going to say yes

The carbonation in the water expands after the roots take in the water and this causes root rupture, often leading to death of the plant

thank you, there's no gardening board on this website so I thought /ck/ would be the best option

Plants breathe in carbon dioxide for energy, you know. For them, carbonated water is basically like a cocktail of steroids and meth. If your crop is doing poorly, small doses of seltzer can help to get things back on track. But don't make it a regular thing, and definitely don't give them the really hard shit (e.g. Perrier). Otherwise you'll notice the plants starting to grow toward your house, and then one night you wake up with a rhododendron branch holding a razor blade to your throat.
