Nothing beats a straight old fashioned, but you probably already have that recipe.
Negroni:
1 part campari
1 part gin (get some strong stuff)
1 part sweet vermouth
Stir gently with ice and express an orange peel over the bastard
Easy and so fucking good. Some people like Punt e Mes for the vermouth, but personally, the sweeter the better. For my money, Carpano Antica FFormula is where it's at.
