I don’t get Burger King’s taxonomical structure.
The Whopper is their signature burger, with a prescribed default of toppings unless ordered differently.
So how is another sandwich, with nothing in common with the default whopper aside from the patty, a “Whopper Melt”?
Does it mean that only the patty itself is the defining aspect of what qualifies a “Whopper”?
If I simply wrap said patty in a tortilla, is it then a “Whopper Burrito”?
If I eat the patty alone, with no bun or toppings, am I eating a Whopper?

Tthere are people whose job it is to pick out the "perfect" bacon slices out of hundreds, the "perfect" bun with the "perfect" density and spread of sesame seeds, etc. and then bring it all to the studio to spend up to several hours just trying to arrange it all in to the "perfect" burger.
All so you end up disappointed every single time you get fast food.
That being said, some places actually do use plastic models for food displays
t. once got told exactly that by a bakery manager when I asked for the last pretzel in the case, turns out it wasn't a pretzel at all (or they were having a shit day but that's a hell of a lie to tell to get out of a single sale)
