2lbs mussels, scrubbed, discard any that are open. This is the most time consuming step. 2lbs is a little overkill for two people but I like mussels

Put some garlic/thyme in your split lobster tails as well as some butter. Preheat the oven to 400

I didn’t take as many photos as I thought.

Saute garlic/thyme in butter for a minute. Add a cup of white wine and bring to a boil. Drop the musses in and cover, they will cook for 10-15 minutes.

Pop the lobster in the oven. It will also cook 10-15 minutes. Start boiling your pasta water, add the pasta 10 minutes out

I chopped up some olives and sun dried tomatoes for the pasta sauce which is very loosely similar to puttanesca

Well I’ll just skip to the end since I didn’t take more pics. I didn’t put effort into being photogenic but everything was delicious and you certainly could make it pretty with minimal effort

Lobster
>2 tails split
>topped with butter, garlic, thyme
>in oven at 400 for 12-15 min until shells are red and meat cooked, careful not to overcook

Mussels
>PEI mussels, scrubbed
>garlic, butter, thyme, 1 cup white wine
>cook covered on stove for 8-12 minutes until all are opened, discard those that don’t open when cooking

Pasta sauce
>chopped olives, sun dried tomato, olive oil, pepper, garlic, little bit of salt
>small can of crushed tomato or tomato sauce
>add cooking liquid from mussels to taste
>top with fresh parsley or some other garnish
