OP I'm converting right now after a very, very long road. I am not really concerned about traditions of men but respectfully I'm going to have fish tacos at a little taco shop run by Catholics this Friday. They do a daily special and fish is always for Friday. Then they serve them with rice and beans and the beans are cooked in lard.

It's a little silly, sure, and again I'm not going to get caught up in traditions. I'm going to practice instead. So I'll be cooking with a lot of fish in the future to honor the tradition as well.
