Me and my partner of 7 years entered a bakery hoping to order a custom wedding cake for our reception. We picked the bakery because it is close to the site where our reception was held.

The bakery owner started getting very hostile when we told him the wedding cake was for both of us (we are both male) and told us he didn't serve our kind. We filed a complain and hopefully the state will shut him down so nobody else faces public humiliation at the hands of a bigot.

I always microwave my takeout food anyways so I don't care at all if it comes cold. In my experience indian food (curries, not the bread) tends to stay warm a while anyways.

A lot of bars here are about private spaces. I've been on dates where they give you a booth and they close a privacy screen so you can basically fool around in the booth. The server knocks and announces her presence before lifting the screen.

Going to bars is a small group thing. If you have more than 4 people, they view that as a 'party' and set you up somewhere, especially in a traditional spot. Past 4 people, chains are often your best bet for getting a spot.
