A small bottle of decently satisfactory junmai ginjo, and a large bottle of extremely good vintage junmai daiginjo.
The latter is aged 3 years by the brewery, which is quite “vintage” by sake standards as less than 1% of sakes are aged at all. It’s normally meant to be drank within a year of being produced because it doesn’t mature; it starts to go bad.
Aging is usually done at near-freezing temps, which is expensive as hell for a brewery.
Thank you for reading my blog.

Tried some Bulleit bourbon for the first time, and drinking a few bottles of my homebrew from about this time last year. The bourbon was pretty solid. Homebrew is a saison that keeps getting drier the longer I leave it in storage. Good shit.

Definitely give a junmai daiginjo a shot sometime.
It’s basically the same thing but further refined because of the rice-milling, so it’s smoother and “cleaner” tasting.
It’s sometimes hard to find depending on where you live though, as a lot of people don’t know enough about sake to know why it’s more expensive, so stores can have trouble moving it.
Pic related; my favorite sake, period. My fiancée and I have it on special occasions. It’s extremely hard for us to ever find outside Japan, though.

Armenian red wine made from Haghtanak which is a cross between Georgian Saparavi and some unnamed armenian varietals. It's the most intensely red red wine I've ever tasted, this shit makes cahors look like a joke

The taste is not bad either. Was a little scared because the label mentioned vanilla and oak but it's like 8 years in the bottle now so it's not offensive

Got a 12 pack of bud heavy and a quarter of a bottle of raspberry smirnoff. I'm just looking to get fucked up tonight. I'm tired of working my ass off at my job 5 to 6 nights a week, may family always needing me to do something for them, and I haven't gotten a solid dicking in almost a year.

I'm ready to die by the bottle.

Yea I'm sure I'm stuck in rut. Really, I need to buckle down and get my priorities straight. Stop worrying about work, get my life in order, and stop this cycle of sleep, work, drink. It just gets hard when you have that mentality to put everyone's needs above your else.

Tbh, all I really truly want is to take my vacation, but it's looking like I'll have to take a check instead.
