Italian family so pretty much any pasta dish.
Usually its penne or linguini. Sometimes bowties.
With soup its usually something like orzo or ditalini.
Sometimes there's peas and the little shells.
With restaurants if we do wind up at an Italian restaurant, its usually pappardelle/tagliatelle (with ragu). With one place I tend to get gramma's dinner (actually sugo della domenica but brain insists on saying gramma's/sunday dinner).

desu spaghetti is the last kind of pasta I would cook. most of the recipe that are good with spaghetti is better with linguine

The only exception is broken spaghetti in legumes and pasta with fresh tomato sauce, even if the latter is good with linguine also

Any pasta sauce requires a specific kind of pasta (or 2) so it doesn't make sense to make a tier of pasta, they are all water and flour (and sometimes eggs)
