I had an amazing deli near me a few years back. Super fresh ingredient, the owner would stuff the subs like crazy to the point where he had to staple the styrofoam box shut, plus it came with a fresh made side.

The owner was super chill and always willing to listen to the customers. I was there one one of the first days it opened and I gave some feedback on the potato salad (which he asked for) and he actually updated the recipe. He had some house made tangy dressing that was amazing, it was so good, and he always got just the right amount so you could clearly taste it without it making the sub soggy.

In the end though, the location wasn't great and he went out of business. Now all thats left in the area are subways and wawas. Like if I look up the "top 10 delis in my area", 3 of them are subway, it's sad

Yeah, the deli section at the local family-owned supermarket. All the cuts of meat there are fantastic, and I love their fried chicken. My favorite part is that they don't mind making stuff to order and doing wild amounts, so if you want to ask for a gallon of extra-fried extra-spiced potato wedges, they'll just do it.

If I want a pretty good hoagie, I'll go to Wegmans. If I want something amazing, I'll go to one of the 90 other hoagie shops in a 5 mile radius of me. I know down in florida, pubelicks is your standard for "amazing hoagies", but hear in Southeast PA, we prefer to stay several cuts above.

SEETHING philly fag. A philly cheesesteak can be had once, and then you know what it is. The primantis format allows much more variety and creativity, it's a better sandwich from a better place.

That having been said I actually prefer North Shore Deli on E. Ohio St for a real deli experience.

Cheesesteaks are decent, but we have plenty of other sandwiches that obliterate your retarded pastrami and french fry sandwich. What you have is a concoction a 10 year old would make at a deli.

Hoagie roll, some sauce, oil, or vinegar on the bread to give it moisture, and always wrap it in butcher or parchment paper like a burrito to compress everything you put in it and cut in half with a sharp knife. Doing those three things will already make it restaurant quality.

it seems like you can only find consistently good small, local delis in big cities like new york/philly. where I live, the few local "delis" there are are dirty, low quality restaurants for niggers and crackheads. I'm glad I live in florida and can get publix subs which are at least way better than just being stuck with subway garbage

The one near me is called quick stop or shop I can't remember or care. They are the best overall, they use pic related and generous portions at a fair price. Its a very cheap looking place too in the suburbs so they don't get over crowded with "foodie" faggots. This is in NJ where we should actually care about our subs.
