Daily reminder that almost every cooking oil is industrial waste designed to keep you fed as cheaply as possible! That's right, "vegetable" oil like soybean, corn, sunflower, saffron, canola, and others are strongly linked to dementia, obesity, and heart disease. The only oils/fats you should be cooking with are:

>lard
>butter
>extra virgin olive oil
>coconut oil
>avocado oil
>sesame oil

Watch this video and thank me later.

Yes, you can. How long it lasts depends on how hot you were frying, what you were frying, and how many times you've already used it.
But generally 3 months or 5~10 uses if you strain and seal it after each use. You'll see it continually get darker and it'll have a noticeable stank to it.

Today we are cut out of our food production and live relatively long easy lives, within a few decades it'll be longer and easier. As long as I'm eating balanced meals by current dietary knowledge who cares?

I did not deserve it because I made a good thread and did not break the rules at all. the mods on /ck/ have had lots of people complaining, you are not the only one. I can't imagine what they are thinking, but it feels like bias against certain topics and I hope someone who is more knowledgeable than me can bring it to the attention of higher up 4chan admins or something. >Why are induction burners and microwaves bad?
don't get me wrong I love the idea of a microwave but every time I ever used one my food would heat unevenly or it would gain the texture of chewing gum. flavor would be off, smell wouldn't sit right. I also didn't feel very good when I would eat something from it. induction bothered me because it limited what pans I could use and it was expensive, and never really gave me that serious intense cookage that gas or electric stoves would give me. It's inconvenient and denies me control over my own cooking. Every single time I cook my food on a normal gas or electric stove or in an oven, it tastes better and smells better and just comes out better in every single way. Also I have no damn idea what all those electromagnetic fields are doing to me or my food, but I do know that the shills shut it down if anyone mentions it and call people crazy for being concerned, so that instantly convinces me that it IS something I should worry about, so I also avoid it for those reasons. I have no idea what the problem is, but the shills that are sent to change my mind are the EXACT reason why I changed my mind to avoid whatever the hell it is they want me to use. 99% of the time if suspicious people that may possibly work for a powerful entity want you to do something, it's usually smart to do the exact opposite, I'm not a scientist and will likely never understand how anything works, but I have something they will never have, a soul, and intuition, instinct.

I almost never add a processed fat to my meals but rarely I use a little coconut oil. if I'm eating fat it's gonna be in nuts and seeds that are raw most of the time. avocado is fucked and will never recover, can never afford it ever again sadly.

The only reason people followed that letter of the alphabet was because despite the sheer insanity of it, it was still more sane than all of the official sources. it was the voice of reason in the madness. it is no measure at all of how credible it was, because it was not credible at all, but it was a measure of the insanity of the official sources, how far they have fallen, and how desperately people needed to escape it.

As for microwaves, I just don't trust them and they make my food taste bad. I also don't like how this big microwave field extends far beyond the appliance when cooking food. apparently induction is weirdly somewhat similar to a flat microwave with no door, but obviously not the same at all. There's nothing wrong with normal ways to cook food like stove and oven, and I feel like microwaves and induction are pushed on us way too hard for it to be natural and organic.

>High LDL-C is inversely associated with mortality in most people over 60years. This finding is inconsistent with the cholesterol hypothesis
so high LDL makes old people die faster.... okay, but how does it prove that coconut oil is the exact cause and not just a correlation/causation fallacy?

titled at the top
>Lack of an association or an inverse association between low-density-lipoprotein cholesterol and mortality in the elderly: a systematic review
>LACK OF AN ASSOCIATION

>It is also possible that those with the highest LDL-C were put on a different diet than those with low LDL-C. However, this potential bias in mortality outcomes could have gone in both directions. Some of the individuals with high LDL-C may have followed the official dietary guidelines and exchanged saturated fat with vegetable oils rich in linoleic acid. In a recent study, the authors reported that among participants who were older than 65 at baseline, a 30mg/dL decrease in serum cholesterol was associated with a higher risk of death (HR 1.35, 95% CI 1.18 to 1.54).26 If applied to the general population, this finding suggests that the conventional dietary treatment for high cholesterol with vegetable oil replacing saturated fat may actually increase mortality in those individuals with high LDL-C. Thus, the lack of an association between LDL-C and mortality may have been even stronger than reported since the dietary intervention may have been counterproductive.
