This is true. I once was choosen with two other students of regular school to go and visit film school for educational purposes. The course over 3 month was set after regular school so that was a bummer already. After 2 weeks introduction we were given the task to make a short Film with a theme of our choice, we got a key to the cutting room and free use of all equipment around the clock. We made a Film about bums and hookers just for shit and giggles. Given that we were only 15 at that time we thought that we would get a punishment for paying a crackhead fucking a whore and filming it in every dirty detail with focus on his dirty balls. But no, even the director of filmschool was impressed and offered us three schoolarships after we finish school. Since then i'm done with making Film. That was 24 years ago.
