Aromatics done after a minute or so,

Add the sardines. Let it heat up and just lightly get some colour. Medium head the whole way

If you do exactly what you just did, then flake the Deenz in a bowl, then crack eggs on top and bake you will have the best fisherman's eggs this board has ever seen. They don't go missing under the eggs either.

Thank you, my secret is to put no effort whatsoever into it. I use soap, I don't care about the temp or what I'm cooking, I cook tomatoes, I do everything. I just did a couple of runs of oven seasoning at the start with plain canola oil, and just used it since.

Anyone who is an aspie about cast iron maintenance is wrong.

The best thing I ever did was sand down my pan and re season it. I thought cast iron sucked, but it turns out the factory seasoning was ass.

I hear mixed things about that. Apparently if you sand too far, and the surface is too smoothe, there's nothing for the seasoning to adhere to. Lucky for me my pans didn't give me any trouble with building up a seasoning.
