I prefer jam, honestly. it's easier to spread. The hills nearby are fucking full of strawberries in the clearings so we pick a shit load of them and make homemade jam. I think some Johnny Strawberryseed planted them all over the place. one time i went christmas shopping with my friend and i was looking for a nice jar of jam or marmalade for my grandparents so we went round taking the tops off them all and sniffing them to see which ones smelled the nicest so i knew they'd be a good present. i didn't realise until much later that i was breaking all the seals and essentially ruining dozens of jars worth of preserves

this year i made scotch bonnet jam, kiwi jam, pomegranate jam, cherry & merlot jam and mojito marmalade. they were all pretty good especially the kiwi and scotch bonnet ones. very easy to make as long as you don't burn it or it fails to set
