It was good. the establishment, the service, the ingredients and the world around it. Not even larping. Not sure what changed. Pizza Hut as a kid was delicious. The pizza base/crust was almost like a deep fried type deal. Think when they tried to move to a healthy option when things went downhill.

Older than dirt boomer reporting in! Everything in the 70s sucked ass, also high school sucked, and will always suck for all time. The 80's and 90's were fun and the 80's had good music and interesting fashions. the 00s were up and down, the 10s were pretty good, but it wasn't so much fun seeing friends I had in my teens and 20's die or get filtered and fail. Wish I could live for another 1000 years just so I could see how things turn out.

Pizza hut was a greasy shit hole, but we had nothing else to compare it to, so it was the best of what was available.

I'm 39. I first went to pizza hut in my teens, so 25 years ago. I remember it being comparable to any other restaurant with a little boost in quality/prestige from the fact it was a known brand. I remember the food seeming very expensive and quite greasy. When I was a child we wanted to go anywhere that was branded. It was 'gay' to go to somewhere that my parents liked, some place that nobody knew and nobody at school would know. Being seen around/with branded stuff was key to our identity. It seems weird in hindsight, but yeah, pizza hut was an extreme treat as my parents thought it was a fucking rip off. Eating out in general was quite an extravagant treat, reserved for birthdays etc generally. I remember we once all took a day out on the bus to got to an A&W root beer. Like that was a day out. Has pizza hut fallen from grace since my teens? I don't really know, I've not been since my early 20's when my girlfriend at the time was extremely into getting me to go with her. It was OK? I thought it was expensive still as any local pizza place here will make you an extra extra large pizza for $10 and a large at pizza hut was like, $18.99 or something.

I wish they would bring back the honey Sriracha drizzle.

Here in the UK pizza hut used to be nice... Like in the 90s the stuffed crust pizzas were real sugary and sweet. Went recently and it was overpriced and underwhelming. The bases were thinner, lighter and more like shortcrust pastry than what I remember. The closet thing to old Pizza hut would be current frozen chicago town stuffed takeaway pizzas.

Dominoes is better than pizza hut currently, but old pizza hut is better than current dominos.

Pizza game is so weak now that I just make my own.
