I have one. Used to use it a lot but then I found out you can make them in a frying pan. Now I only make grilled cheeses in a pan. Looks better and isn't squished to all hell therefore denser. Also, it's a pain to clean it after using butter, used to not use butter for grilled cheeses but now that I make 'em in a pan I use butter everytime.

Those things suck. The bread around the creases comes out rock hard, and then when you can bite into it you're greeted by a fuckin steam bomb. A panini press or hotplate are your best options. A pan works too but with a hotplate there's no edges in the way.

Thanks! if you need a cooking education, I'm pretty sure Dora has a video on how to flip a sandwich.

I mean shit, my dog knows how to roll over. Maybe he can teach you too? Or you can ask your mother.

>Also, it's a pain to clean it after using butter.
You aren't meant to use oils on the cooking surfaces of most sandwich presses at all, instead butter the inside of the bread and let it melt through

This way you get butter flavour and moisture but maintain the crunchy shell exterior and don't fuck up the cooking surface, you can just wipe off any seepage with a tissue
