Taco Bell definitely tasted better in the 90s. around the mid-late 2000s or so the ingredients noticably got way cheaper and shittier. the 90s nachos supreme was so good i can still remember the taste its never been the same after they got rid of the scallions and made the chips that shitty thin brittle replacement theyve had ever since

also didnt realize until recently you cant get gorditas anymore (except for the cheesy gordita crunch). they were so much better than chalupas. baja chicken gordita used to be my go to

She literally put down her fork and said "ew, this is disgusting" and stopped eating. Why was there such a stigma against mexican food in the first half of the century? My mom told me about how when she was a kid in the 70s her mom (other grandma) made tacos for the first time after reading about them in a magazine. All of the kids on the block came over to try this new "taco" for the first time, it was a total novelty nobody had ever heard of, and everyone got super excited.
