I'm thinking about buying Canadian beer, Any Canadians have any good suggestions?

Pilsner. That's where it's at. Nicknamed "Saskatchewan champagne". Don't know why.

Nah, our beer is pretty middle of the road. I used to drink Kokanee a lot back in college. Some years I'll see Granville Island's winter ale in stores once a year and feel compelled to buy it, but it tastes like fucking Christmas cookies.
I don't know if you can even get any non-macro brands outside the country, not that our micros are any less unimpressive. 33 Acres does an okay pale ale, but good luck finding it outside of BC.

Look for Unibroue if you like fine ales. Fin Du Monde is my favourite but they do seasonal brews that are limited.

unibroue and other quebec companies are the only good beer you'll find in the states unless you live in washington or oregan who might import some BC craft beer, the canadian equivalents to US macro brew is the exact same shit, maybe even worse sometimes

This is kino as fuck and surprisingly cheap for some reason. It's pretty strong, like 9% or so, and a 750 ml bottle is around 7 bucks Canadian. That's basically 7 bucks for the alcohol equivalent of 4 American beers, and it tastes way better. It tastes like banana bread

>> No.17357126

>>17357115
If you can get your hands on their Trois Pistoles, it's basically the dubbel/dark version of this. Same yeast (banana bread) but with a darker, almost smoked-molasses hit to it.
